Dress Code & Inspiration

We invite you to consider the English garden party when choosing what to wear.

“Sitting in an English garden, waiting for the sun…”

Dress code is Semi-Formal with an emphasis on natural Spring colors and fabrics. Most importantly, wear something that will make you feel hot in the way an eccentric Jane Austen character is hot when they’re drinking tea in a meadow, or Sgt. Pepper-era-Beatles-chic.

Keep in mind that the ceremony and reception will be outside in the evening on grass, and weather will be a factor. We suggest bringing an additional layer in case the temperature drops at sundown or there is rain (but worry not, there will be a tent for cover). Below, you will find the weather on April 25 for the past 5 years.

Here are some inspiration images and a color palette, intended to clarify what kinds of colors embody the vibe we see for the evening, not to prescribe precise colors one is expected to wear.
